Introduction & Contact
Originally from Southwestern Ohio, I moved to New York City after doing a sophomore college year abroad at Tel Aviv University and earning a BA in Botany from Miami University. In 1994, while working in research at the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx, I began taking weekly hand building classes at a community studio on the city’s Upper West Side.
Over the years, I’ve taken ceramics classes at Lehman College, Alfred University’s summer program, The Clay Art Center, and Greenwich House Pottery. I’ve also worked as an assistant to two production potters.
Most recently, I’ve taken several workshops at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, and I am currently participating in my third year of Steven Hill’s Journey Workshop at The Alison Palmer Studio.
I live in Yonkers, New York with my plant-fiend husband and our two beagles. I teach weekly classes at Yonkers Pottery, which I also own and manage.
